2017 is coming to an end

As it turns out my ability to keep up to date with the blog leaves much to be desired.

Here we are at the end of October.  It is still warm but we all know that the boating season is drawing down.  We had a slow start to the 2017 season but we have been gaing momentum over the last few events.  They are as follows;

We held our annual raft up in Willoughby Bay in early July.  We had 7 boats raft up with three spending the night on the mooring ball.  It was not our biggest raft but the air was hot and the water was cool.  All attending had a great time.

The club took a trip up the York river at the end of July.  Some bad weather came in for that and only three boats made the trip.  A few came by land yacht.  A part from the rough sea’s on the Bay those that attended had a good time.

The Club next went to Norfolk Yacht & CC.  This turned uot great.  Good weather, a short distance for most lots of members came by boat and more came by land.  We never go wrong going to NYCC.  They treat us very well and we have a really good time.

After NYCC we took a trip to Cape Charles.  Again we had a good turn out by boat.  No land yachts at this one this year but still we had a really good turn out with 9 boats and 23 people.

We are now coming up to our last event on the water for the year.  A short trip to Hampton Public Docks.  I am hoping for a continuation of good turn outs that we have had for the last few events.
